What's happening...
Our standard 2009 Dance Camp scheduled for the end of November is to be replaced on the same scheduled weekend with a NEW mini-weekender party event.

Why are we introducing this new event?
Earlier this year many of our dancers expressed concerns over their financial situation with regard larger events. To make our weekender more affordable for everyone, "DanceBlitz" offers a variety of options - so everyone can find something to suit their budget.

How will this new event benefit you?
You'll be much more in control of how much, or how little you spend!
"DanceBlitz" allows you to find the level of accommodation that suits, as well as choose the number of workshops you attend and the type and number of meals you choose to share with us.
We'll still cater for people with little and lots of dance experience and there will be ample time to soak up the sun!

So, what's the plan?

• Friday night Dance Party at Weller's Hill in Bris Vegas. (We will try organzie lifts to the Sunshine Coast for interstate dancers)
• DanceBlitz - Saturday and Sunday workshops at the Sunshine Coast.
• 12 Workshops over the weekend. 6 for Beginner/Intermediate and 6 for Intermediate/Advanced.
• 1.5 Hour Workshops rather than the usual 1hour Workshops.
• Dance Party at the Sunshine Coast on the Saturday night.
• We'll suggest three levels of accommodation (all close to each other) and you book or you find your own accommodation for Saturday night.
• If you don't wish to stay, you can always drive home and join us again on the Sunday.
• Plenty of time to relax, socialise and party!

Will we still offer a Dance Camp Weekender like we've offered in the past?
Yes. Our plan is to run more than one dance weekender each year. You'll be able to choose which weekenders you want to attend - or join us for each of them!
Our plan is to have another Dance Escape Week in 2010. Just like our huge event in 2008, our DanceEscape will be a week long event and include the camp and competition as well as activities throughout the week.

DanceBlitz Weekender 2009 at the glorious Sunshine Coast.
Try something new! Our DanceBlitz weekender will offer great workshops with some of Australia's leading dancers and is only 90km from Brisbane CBD (just over 1hr) and 170km (under 2hrs) from Surfers Paradise.

We're currently finalizing the program but we have our three interstate guest teachers already booked as well as plenty of local Queensland talent!
Teachers will be teaching 1.5 hour workshops (rather than the usual 1hour sessions).
So, lock in this date for the weekender: Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd November 2009.

Plus, depending on your budget you might like to do some other activites in the area:

• Beach/Swimming/Surfing
• Parachuting

If you're joining us from interstate or overseas, you'll want to fly into Brisbane for the Friday night Dance Party.
If you've already booked a flight to the Sunshine Coast please let us know asap and we'll sort out a lift to the events for you.
It will also be easier to get a lift back to the Brisbane airport rather than the Sunshine Coast airport which is further north on the Coast. (Brissy is to the south of Caloundra.)

Plus, whilst you're here you might also take the opportunity to include an extra day or two to visit to a variety of other attractions on or near the Sunshine Coast (North of Brisbane)
Or visit the Gold Coast (South of Brisbane): Gold Coast, Sea World, Movie World, Dreamworld.

DanceBlitz Accommodation Suggestions:
The venue for our first non-residentail "Mini Dance Weekender" is Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

Depending on your budget we suggest you choose one of these options for accommodation;

• Hybiscus Holiday Park Tents to Vans to Cabin accomodation.
• Caloundra City Backpackers Single, Twin, Family Rooms. Roughly $30pp.
• Centrepoint Appartments Something a little nicer. 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms avail. 1 bedroom $145 to 3 Bedroom $255.(sleeps 6)

These are all located a short walk from each other and from the main hall we will be using in central Caloundra.
They are close to Bullcock Beach which is the entrance to the Pumistone Passage and which is a boardwalk stroll to the main surf beach called King's Beach.

• Wotif.com and lastminute.com.au are both worth a look if you want to hold off and pick up some specials as we get closer the event.
