Where are all our boys?
Boys! Gents! Guys! Lads! Where are you?
While the numbers are holding steady at our Gold Coast venues, there appears to be a shortage of males! After having fairly even numbers over the past few months is this is cause for concern? We like dancing with you boys so come and see us at class!
A big thank you to those guys who have been coming along religiously and have been holding the fort over the last 2 weeks. Your popularity has somewhat increased and we know you're getting a workout with all those ladies to work on the dance floor. Give your mates a nudge and let's get the guys matching the girls for enthusiasm.
Allan taught on Monday night at Dance Head Quarters in Southport and it was nice to see a group of newbies joining us. Welcome along and thanks to all of you for bringing your friends along to our favourite past time. A great class with lots of regular faces too. Some of you are practicing hard for the Sydney competition so make sure you ask for some feedback from your teachers. They're more than happy to help.
Kent will be at the Parkwood/Arundel Community Centre on Tuesday night. Join Kent, Jade, Laura and Sven for some fun moves and good atmosphere for our second biggest night on the coast!
Emma will be teaching on Wednesday night at Dance Head Quarters after having other work commitments the past few Wednesday nights. Join her for "ladies night" where the girls can focus on their style and guys can learn how to make the ladies swoon. Hey guys........ladies night is always a good night for you to go dancing!! Break up your week and get out and kick up your heels!
Kent will be at the Broadbeach Senior Citizens Hall on Friday for THE biggest Gold Coast dance class. This is a great way to bring in the weekend and is a huge social night of dancing.
The night doesn't end there......join us afterwards at PIZZACAKE for pizza, coffee, cakes or drinks.
October Dance Party!
After another successful Broadbeach Mall Party on Saturday night it's time to promote next months party night.
Yes.....October's dance party will be held at our new Southport venue - Dance Head Quarters!
For those of you who have joined us at HQ before you'll be pleased to know that the floor has been broken in nicely and is a fabulous surface to dance on. There's been a few changes to the studio which is now 3 months old including some extra air flow to cool the venue down. Your feedback has been invaluable and slowly but surely, we're creating the venue you asked for.
So.....GET DRESSED UP AND LET'S PARTY!!
There will be door prizes, late night moves (brand new to the Coast) and maybe a suprise or two!
No excuses accepted - be there or be square! :)
Nearly Routine Time!
Have you found a partner yet? Bookings are looking good and we've got heaps of takers for both the routines being taught here on the Coast.
Not sure what we're talking about.......click on this link to get more info. Routines Page.
Le Step on the Coast will be teaching the Beginner routine - "Rockin' for Myself " and the much sought after Intermediate/Advanced routine - "YEAH" over a six week period starting in October. You will need your own partner to participate in this course so scout around at class.
If you're not sure which routine you should do, ask the teachers at your favourite venue!
Dates for both routines are on Sundays as follows:
The Beginner Routine (Rockin' For Myself) will be taught by Rob Want and Emma Willis from 3:00pm - 5:00pm.
The Intermediate/Advanced Routine (Yeah) will be taught by Emma & Kent Willis from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
Brochures are available at classes now and if you need further information, have a chat to Em, Al or Kent at class.
Registration can be done at the door on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays or by calling the Gold Coast office on 5591 9170.

The comp was a great day/night and we're very proud of everyone who entered - at all levels! While we took away plenty of trophies, that's not all there is to dance comps....
As a team we were a "stand out". It's been noted by everyone at the comp and we've had pleny of feedback noting what a supportive and encouraging group we are and for that, there is no trophy - only personal pride. Well done Coasies - YOU ROCK!
