Venue Report...
Monday @ Coolangatta
It's week 3 at our newest and most southern venue on the Gold Coast. We had over 40 people last week so this venue already promises a good atmosphere.
We've got Emma, Allan and Kent running the night with Laura and the crew there for support. There'll be a beginner class at 7:30pm and an intro-mediate class at 9:00pm.

Tuesday @ Arundel
This week Kat will take to the main stage with Allan as his demonstrator. Justin and Katie will take the beginners for a re-cap class at 9pm and the support crew will ensure everyone gets a good night of dancing.
Tuesdays nights have been drawing good numbers so make sure you join Al and the crew at Arundel and get maximum use out of your monthly passes.

Wednesday @ Dance HQ - also routine practice night.
Emma will be teaching with Pete for the beginner and intermediate class. The re-cap class at 9pm for the beginners will be taken by Janelle and Dean. We had over 50 people last week so one of the best Wednesday nights yet.
These guys are here to ensure you have a great night of dancing and will get you up on the floor even on your first night.

Friday @ Broadbeach - Now with Extended Freestyle
Kent will teach with Jade as his demonstrator for the beginner class and then Shelly will join him for the intermediate class. Shelly and Graham will then teach the re-cap class at 9pm while Coby and Chrissy teach the intro-mediate (middle level) class.
Last week saw over 90 people enjoying the extended freestyle class. Friday night's are the biggest on the Coast with loads of atmosphere and plenty of good dancers to dance with and to watch. Join us afterwards at the Casino for coffee, drinks, and/or dinner with all of the above.

Week 3 at Cooly tonight!
What a great opening night we had on Monday, 7th July 2008. A great turn out then and for our second week last week. This will be week 3 and the numbers are good, the atmosphere is fun and the crew are great.
This venue has the dance floor equivalent to our Friday night venue in Broadbeach and has the potential to be one of the biggest classes on the coast. The Centre is located right next to restaurants and cafe's so you can enjoy dinner before class or supper afterwards.

Gold Coast Soiree - only 2 weeks to go!
This is a "cocktail event" bringing out the gliz and glam of all our dancers. Tickets are now $95 as the date for early bird specials has come and gone.
Remember, we have limited tickets to this event so don't miss out. Brisbane ticket sales are up so if you're a Coastie and you don't want to miss out on this event, don't wait too long!
This event will include dance performances, 1.5 hours of succulent nibbles, 3 hours of beer, wine, champagne, juice and soft drink in the gorgeous environment of the Hyatt Regency in Sanctuary Cove.
Pick up a brochure at class and have a chat to the crew for more information. This is the Gold Coast dance event of the year so be a part of the experience.

Dance Escape - Modern Jive Party Week - Sept 2008
Dance Escape 2008 incorporates our:
1. Dance Camp
2. Additional activities throughout the week
3. Championship Weekend of activities
We have already had bookings from quite a few people. More than half of the best standard of accommodation is now full so get in fast if you want to get the best accommodation at the camp.
We've already had people from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth and New Zealand register and we've even had a couple of girls from Stockholm (Sweden) register!
So, you've been told... get in fast for the best accommodation! Last year we had almost 170 attending.
If you have registered, you have till the due dates to make payment at the early-bird rates. If you do not make payment by that date your booked room will be released to others who want that accommodation.
Modern_Jive_Party_Week_2008
This is fully explained in the Dance Camp pages but given that some of you have asked to share rooms with 'friends' who are not of the same sex, we thought we should remind you of the rules set down by the owners of the camp. Where possible we have accommodated friends in adjoining rooms.
Please contact us personally if this is a problem for you.
Weekend Report
The weekend of the 19th and 20th July was a busy one for Le Step on the Coast with Allan and Holly Skinner spending the entire weekend in Adelaide teach workshops and performing their routines and Kent and Emma Willis also took a road trip to a comp in Canberra with a total of 12 Le Step dancers from here on the Coast.
We report that Allan and Holly's visit to Adelaide was a huge success with a great response to their workshops and performances. So successful was this visit that they're already in demand for next year!
The road trip was a whirlwind tour to Canberra and back in a 12 seater bus and trailer with all 12 of our dancers coming home with multiple trophies. Another huge success for the Coastis who continue to leave their mark on the national Modern Jive dance scene.

New-Look Multi-Lesson Passes are now available at a significant saving of over 10% for a 6 night pass or over 15% for a 12 night pass.
