VENUE REPORT

Monday nights @ COOLANGATTA - 7pm start!!!

To cater for our dancers who deal with the daylight savings down south, the Monday night classes will now start at 7pm until the end of daylight savings.

Kent is teaching with Emma this week (always amusing) while Allan and Rach will take the re-cap class for the beginners at 8:30pm.

As our regulars now know, Monday nights 8:30 pm class is always an intro-mediate class so it's a great night to focus on your technique and fundamentals that will see you in the intermediate classes sooner.

Come and join us at Cooly tonight for a dance then head to Macca's on the highway for a dodgy late night snack! Open invite.

Tuesday nights @ ARUNDEL

Allan will teach beginners with Shelly this week and intermediate with Kat. Katie and Atul will teach the re-cap class while Shelly and Isaac teach the intro-mediate class.

Join Allan and the crew on Tuesday for some dancing.

PS: For those learning the Low Routine, there will be Low practice at 10:20pm* for those wanting to consolidate the moves learnt so far. This is a valuable extra for those who are committed to learning the routine.

* please be mindful that during the freestyle section, Allan's time is dedicated to our regular dance clientelle - so any questions, save them 'til 10:20pm where time will be allocated to Low routine participants.

Wednesday nights @ SOUTHPORT

This week at Dance HQ, Emma will have Pete on stage for the beginner class and then Justin for the intermediate class. Pete and Ciara will then take the re-cap class at 9pm while Laura and Tim take the intro-mediate class.

Wednesday night is booming with loads of atmosphere and plenty of dancing to be done. The crew are great and the aim is to have you ALL dancing ALL night!

Friday night @ BROADBEACH

This Friday night, Kent wil have Dahna on stage for the beginner class and Vicky for the intermediate class. Vicky and Rob will take the re-cap class at 9pm while Coby and Chrissy take the intro-mediate class.

Grab your shoes on Friday arvo and head to Broadbeach for the biggest class of the week. Good atmosphere with plenty of new moves and good dancers to dance with.

Open invite to late night coffee/drinks/dinner afterwards at the casino across the road. This is a good way to meet and chat with your fellow dancers!

Broadbeach Mall 2008

The weather was good to us and the party was good fun. With no rain pending, we had at least 60 - 70 dancers on the floor throughout the course of the night with some good interest from local diners.

Thanks to all those who support this event on a regular basis and to those who came down to the Mall for the first time.

A good crowd went for a quiet drink after the dance party and then on for coffee too. Some went and partied hard in Surfers at that point and the rest went home to bed! Definitely something for everyone.

Looking forward to the next one already!

A reminder that Allan provides practice time on Tuesday nights at 10:20pm for those wanting to consolidate what they learnt on Sunday. Please be aware that until that time, he and the crew will be focussing on the regular dance attendees, so your consideration of this would be appreciated.

Talk of costumes has begun for those considering performing at the Le Step Ball so more info to come soon. Congrats to all who are participating - the routine is taking great shape. Well done all.

This week a crowd of Le Step dancers will head down for a social night at Sharks! The Zookeepers play some awesome music and they know what we like to dance too. Let's support Megan and her band this week!

If you want to go early and eat, just remember it's Members Night at the club on Thursdays so it's quite busy. Great buffet though so grab a group and go early to get yourselves a table.
