What's been happening?
I'm one of the guest teachers at the Hunter Valley Weekender (Dance Camp) this coming weekend so I won't be around for the Dance Party this Saturday but you'll be in great hands with Jack Fifoot running the show for you. Enjoy the party and I'll see you Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week with lots of new moves for you.

Well done to everyone who's been catching on to the latest technique that we've been teaching in Brisbane after our weekend in Sydney with Jordan and Tatiana - two world champion WCS dancers. It was brilliant to be there and see these two in action!

If you missed the first sessions of our two brand new routines, it's not too late to catch up. Session number two is not this Sunday but the following Sunday (29th Feb). Need a partner? We may be able to help. Please chat to a door person or phone 0412 174 111 to speak with myself (Mick).

See you at class,
Mick

Our two routines started on Sunday and were really well attended.

If you are not enrolled yet it's not too late to catch up. Our next session in not this Sunday but the next.

2009 - Brisbane Mentor Routine
This is where we match up some of our newer dancers with some of our more experienced dancers.

It's a great way to get to know the better dancers and well as improve your dancing by dancing with someone who already knows what they are doing.

New Dancers and Experienced Dancers, it's now time to start asking around at class to see if you you can find your own partner (to mentor or to be mentored by).

If you are having any difficulty finding a partner please speak with our friendly door staff and they will try help you find someone to partner.

Please arrive 10min early.
Routine from 3:45 till 4:45pm
St.Joachim's Hall - Crown St Holland Park.
You MUST have a partner.

2009 - Brisbane I/A Routine
This new routine will;
- focus on the latest developments and trends in Modern Jive
- feature some of the absolute newest moves generated by some of the World's top dancers

So, learning a routine is more than just learning new steps... it's about the content..... it about going over and over moves and developing your ability to have more fun as a dancer.

Please arrive at least 10min early.
Routine from 5:30 till 7:30pm
St.Joachim's Hall - Crown St Holland Park.
You MUST have a partner.

Victorian Championships
There is a big group of Queenslanders heading to Victoria for their Modern Jive Championships in April.

The weekend runs from Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd May.

If you are interested in joining us please let us know.
You can get more info at www.vmjc.com.au.
We also have leaftets out at our classes.

Annual Le Step Ball at The Greek Club
A reminder to add Saturday 9th May to your diary as a date not to be missed.
Dinner, Dance Displays and heaps of dancing to a live band on Brisbane's best dance floor!

Paying Cash helps our door crew and keep everyone else smiling too.
At some venues we offer eftpos/credit card facilities for purchases over $30.

We have deliberately set the limit at $30 so it discourages people paying by this method for just one class.
The reason for that is that we have sooooo many people (150 on Wednesday) trying to get through the door in time for the classes and obviously paying by card is slower than paying by cash. So, please try bring cash and keep everyone else smiling too!

We have allowed our door staff to offer this facility for purchases under $30 at their discretion but this is slowly getting out of hand and really slowing things up on the door for everyone else. So, please help us and everyone else by bringing cash to class if you care just paying for a standard class.

Enjoy the dancefloor!
