What's happening...
Despite State of Origin last Wednesday, we still had over 70 people at West End and the dance floor was busy all night. See you all there again on Wednesday night.

Fridays have also been attracting a good size crowd. A reminder to get there early for the BBQ and so we can start the Beginner class at 7:30pm.

Thanks to the Gold Coast for a great night last Saturday. The dance party in the Broadbeach Mall attracted good numbers and the weather was nice and cool for dancing.

New Music
We have just updated this month's playlist with some great new tracks - as well as lots of your favourites. There's a new mix of Hip Hop, Pop, R&B and just a touch of mild dance music!

Come have a dance to the new playlist starting tonight - Friday night.


New Curriculum / New Moves
Calling all intermediate and advanced dancers....
We've recently implemented our new curriculum of moves/routines and whilst most of you are coping pretty well, there are a few changes that some of our regular dancers are not up with.
I'd encourage you to be there early (before 7:30pm) so you can do a few beginner classes and see how we've changed things.

Many of the changes are subtle but some are quite significant. Don't get left behind, come do a few beginner classes and keep abreast of the latest trends in Modern Jive.


Chermside Venue - Pre-Ekka Party
Tuesdays at Chermside have a few new crew members and the venue has been attracting it's own clientele.

With the Ekka almost on our door steps it's a good time to remind you that we always have a pre-Ekka show day party which is great for all of you who do not have to work on Ekka Wednesday.
Yep - Tuesday night 11th August will be the party night

A reminder too that our West End venue is always open on Ekka Wednesday.

Here's the info from the Coast about the Soiree;

"The Soiree 2009 will be at the stunningly impressive Hyatt Regency at Sanctuary Cove and will be on Saturday, 1st August 2009.

Tickets are on sale now and they are limited. This is not a sales ploy! To ensure that those who do attend the function have the benefit of comfort on the dance floor there is a cap on how many can attend this event. To purchase your ticket, please ask at the door at any of our Gold Coast venues or call the office on 5591 9170.

This is the Gold Coast dance scene's most exclusive event and is in less than 2 months time! We now have a bunch of interstaters joining us for the event so don't miss out on getting your ticket.

This event will include a drinks and canape` package for the early part of the evening and music and entertainment until late into the night. It's a cocktail event so the girls will be all glam'd up and the boys will be dressed to impress as well. We'll have dance displays that many of your local dancing talent will be in as well as some guest performances.

The Gold Coast's scintillating Soiree is in it's third year and promises to be bigger and better than ever, thanks to the support, encouragement and feedback provided from you, our dancers. We aim to provide you a night to remember with good friends and good times.
