What's happening....

Le Step CATERS FOR EVERYONE
Don't forget that this Wednesday is the first Wednesday of the month so it's our 'Advanced Class' at 9pm instead of the regular Intermediate Class. If you are not at this level yet, that's ok. There is still plenty for you to learn in the 'Bridging Class'. In fact, the classes are planned so that the teachers will share stuff with you that you won't get in the Intermediate Class.
On the first Wednesday of the month the Bridging class has plenty to keep our regulars entertained.

FRIDAYS HAPPENING AGAIN
It's been great to see our Friday night venue happening again. With over 50 people there it's a great way to spend your Friday nights.
There's the option of having dinner at the club plus there's a bar. Plus there's lots of new people for you to get to know.
This Friday we will be focussing on how girls can 'value add' to moves by 'playing within the lead'. Kate will be demoing!

2hr Beginner Workshop this Sunday 7th Nov
Boys, we need a few more of you to even up numbers for the Beginner Workshop.
We are still taking registrations for girls but probably only till Wednesday night.
Please call us now if you want to enrol. 0412 174 111.

The aim of the Beginners' Workshop is to get you out there on the floor enjoying freestyle as soon as possible - after all, that's what it's all about!
You will learn a number of base moves (moves which can be varied later on) in more detail than our regular classes allow. The basic techniques you'll learn from these base moves can then be applied to the many variations you'll encounter in our Intermediate / Advanced classes.
Beginner workshops do not require your own partner but you do need to book.

Technique covered will include:
  • Rhythm and Timing
  • Handholds and Leads from the Man
  • Spinning Technique
  • Footwork
  • Freestyling
  • Basic Dips and Drops; and
  • Developing Your Own Style.

Give yourself a head start with a two hour intensive workshop!

danceChamp DVDs available at class
The danceChamps DVDs look great!

If you ordered a copy please make sure you collect it at class.

Haven't seen the photos yet?
danceChamps Photos - Visit Picture Moments for over 1500 photos from the danceChamps.
Click on 'Your Photos' - then 'Dance Championship 2010' - and then use the password 'jive'.

Mondays - parking arrangements
Monday nights are looking great at the moment but the car park is not looking great at all.

A reminder you'll have to park on the road as the car park has been dug up for construction.
Some of you might like to park in Yuletide St and walk through the school to get to the hall on Crown St.
Parking in Yuletide St will certainly help out. Parking there will mean you'll want to walk to to the right of the church.
