What's happening at class...
Leading the way in Queensland
I love making sure Le Step is very "2011". That's why I'm really excited to say that we are not only the first dance group but the first business in Queensland to use new technology which means your Membership Card can soon be a virtual card on your smart phone. We expect this technology will be available to you by the end of next week.

VARIETY OF MOVES AND MUSIC
After more networking in Melbourne (last week) we have been implementing a few new strategies to make sure you become the best dancer you can be. Come along and enjoy all the new stuff we've been teaching.
Thanks to everyone who's been saying they love the new music. This month I have added more slower tracks for those of you who like that mind of music.

Also, congrats to my little bro' Liam and his partner Renee who got married on the 1st of April!


Coming real soon...

At Le Step, we like to be leading the way with lots of new stuff so we're very excited about this new technology! Very soon you will have the option of having a standard physical card or a virtual card on your phone - or both.

As more and more businesses adopt this technology it means you can have not only your Le Step membership card but lots of other membership cards stored on your phone instead of making your wallet or purse really bulky with cards.

I (Mick) have been doing some market research for the developers (and now for myself) and am keen to speak with people who have a business that currently uses Membership or Loyalty Cards. As part of my market research (and now side-line business), I'm keen to chat with you about the way you currently use plastic cards and the benefits they have to your business. We'll send you more info on how to get your card just as soon as we have the database etc all set up for Le Step but it should be all ready to go by the end of next week.

Mondays - parking arrangements
A reminder that some of you might like to park in Yuletide St and walk through the school to get to the hall on Crown St.
Guys, it's a pretty safe area but parking in Yuletide St will certainly help out some of the girls would prefer not to have to walk through the school grounds when leaving the venue.

Unlimited dance for $18 per week.
Now that we're well into the new year this might be something you are interested in....

We've had more and more people take up this option for paying for class.
If you'd like more information about our offer of $18 per week for unlimited regular weekly classes please ask our door staff.

This offer is for those who like the idea of cheaper classes combined with the convenience of a continual direct debit payment system. There are a few set-up things for us to take care of with the third party provider, so to get things happening for you it's a minimum 12 weeks contract which, subject to some basic conditions, you can then stop at any time.

So, if this plan works for you please ask our door staff for more information.



Slim-line Beginner DVDs
For those of you getting started with Le Step, keep in mind that there are two Beginner DVDs.
Each has 15 Moves plus technique stuff for $29.95. That's $2 per move.
Get both for $55 or get a beginner package deal on your first night.

You can order online (see our Le Shop pages) or check out the DVDs at any class.



Help everyone by paying cash for small purchases...
At some of our larger venues we offer eftpos/credit card facilities for purchases of $45 and over.

We have deliberately set the limit at $45 so people cannot slow things up at the door by paying by this method for just one class.
The reason for that is that we have sooooo many people (140 on Wednesday) trying to get through the door in time for the classes and obviously paying by card is slower than paying by cash. So, please try bring cash and keep everyone else smiling too!

We have allowed our door staff to offer this facility for purchases under $45 at their discretion but this is slowly getting out of hand and really slowing things up on the door for everyone else. So, please help us and everyone else by bringing cash to class if you care just paying for a standard class.


Flux CMS - Do you need it?
Our web site and e-newsletters are managed by a program called 'Flux' which was created by the husband of one of our dancers. (We're still working on getting him dancing!)

I find it is a great system and I recommend it to anyone who needs a CMS (Content Management System) for a web site or e-mail newsletters. No, I'm not working on commission... I just want to promote this product because I think it's great and it's great to be able to support the businesses of our dancers.

Easter Classes
As per usual, there will be NO Brisbane class on Good Friday (22nd April) or Easter Monday (which is also Anzac Day -25th April).

However, for those of you not going away, you might like to attend the Gold Coast class at Broadbeach or the Redcliffe class which will both be open on Good Friday.

With the Anzac Day holiday happening on Tuesday 26th April this year, we will have no class on that Tuesday.
Classes will be back on from Wed 27th April.
