VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Changes to danceBLITZ weekender - numbers limited.
Due to the Queensland state election using our danceBlitz venues as polling locations, we have been informed that we will be unable to use the halls we had booked for danceBLITZ. However, I have now managed to book one hall for the workshops and a different hall for the dance party.

So, we will still run danceBLITZ 2012 but it will be aimed at all our Intermediate and above dancers.
There will be six workshops on offer which will be taught by our awesome interstate guest teachers.
Three from Sean & Charlie and three from Maddie & Jesse.
We will organise workshops with our fantastic local teachers for later in the year.

If you currently do the Intermediate classes at our regular venues this weekender will be suited to you.
If you are not at this level please contact me for more advice.

So that there is plenty of room for everyone at the workshops and at the dance party, we are limiting the places to 80 clients only. To put that in perspective, we had 140 people at our last danceBlitz and we have already allocated 46 places this time. So, there's just 34 places still available.
Having just 80 people there will also make the workshops smaller than we sometimes have at these events.

Given that there are still the same number of workshops available to our Intermediate and Advanced dancers, we have left the price of the weekend the same. So basically, at the current rate of $130pp, it's $20 for the dance party and $110 for 6 workshops (just over $18per 1.5hour workshop with an interstate couple).

Given that we have had two weeks of sorting out this issue we have dropped the $140pp price to $130pp and will honour this for another two weeks even though it was supposed to close on Feb 4th.

For people who have already paid;
The weekender is still sensational value if you are an Intermediate or above level dancer.
By this I don't mean the level at which you compete but mean that if you currently do our intermediate classes it will be a great weekend for you.

For anyone who has already paid, this event is not what we originally advertised so I am very happy to provide you with a full refund if that's what you want.
For our beginner level dancers, please have a chat with me personally to assess if you will get enough out of the weekend. Catching up at class is best but you can always phone me on 0412 174 111 or email mick@lestep.com.au.

Obviously the hall unavailability is out of our control but I'd like to once again say thanks to everyone for your understanding.

Congratulations to Anthony Condon who has now clocked up well over 500 classes with Le Step since we began accurately tracking attendances in late 2008. Kate Cooling is not far behind with a track record of just under 500 classes. Anthony & Kate have the highest number of classes since we began out computerised tracking.

We do not have computerised records for 2004 through late 2008 but others well over the 500 classes at Le Step Brisbane would include Julia Fifoot, Jack Fifoot, Vicki Willmot, Rob Brunke, Narelle Potter, Robert Hilan and Robin Gray! LOL... I just did a rough estimate (just for kicks) and realised that I would have taught over 2500 nights. Wow... it really adds up.

This offer is for those who like the idea of cheaper classes combined with the convenience of a continual direct debit payment system. There are a few set-up things for us to take care of with the third party provider, so to get things happening for you it's a minimum 12 weeks contract which, subject to some basic conditions, you can then stop at any time.

danceChamps 2012
Whether you're into competing or not, the danceChamps is a fantastic spectator event with some of Australia's top dancers coming to Queensland.

There are categories for everyone from beginner upwards.
If you are interested in competing please catch up with Mick, Lee, Helen, Julia, Kate or Anthony at class and we can point you in the right direction for more information.

The next competition is in Melbourne on the first weekend of May.
